Word has it that a number of artworks housed in the Brooke Gifford Gallery have been retrieved from inside the Christchurch disaster cordon.
Last Thursday hundreds of significant New Zealand artworks were salvaged with help from Christchurch City Gallery staff. Twenty Bill Hammond works were salvaged including one piece valued at an estimated $205,000.
