MUSICAL INTERMISSION
After all the agita over the Arts Voice's usurpations - here's a toe curling (old standard) ballad Maria Elena by a group of capital A artists. And a reminder that at the end of the day accomplished art remains and nothing is left (to history) of the machinations of petty bureaucrats, administrators and ladies/gents who lunch.
Enjoy.
On Maria Elena Ry Cooder on nylon string spanish guitar, Flacco Jimenez on button accordian and Jim Keltner on traps. I'm sorry to say I'm not familiar with the keybordist, who turns in a stand-up performance of his own.
Second clip is footage of the recording of Alimony - which absolutely SLAYS.
